Pronounced “SOH-BA-BA,” the new item originates from a blend of three Korean words meaning, “sauce glazed crunch.” To make the new-to-market product, CJ Schwan’s, a leading US-based food company, uses an innovative process to pre-glaze battered white chicken meat with bold flavors rooted in Korean culinary traditions. This special coating method delivers an experience like no other, with a craveable crunch on the outside and tender, juicy chicken on the inside.
The innovators at CJ Foods designed bibigo Sobaba chicken to revolutionize the Korean frozen chicken market, and recently began its global expansion into countries like the US and Japan. This innovation has been brought to the US through CJ Schwan’s, a US-based CJ Foods affiliate. The item is made locally in the US and can be prepared in just 10 minutes using an air fryer.
