Vande Bharat Express launches high-speed, luxury service between Katra and Srinagar, boosting tourism, regional connectivity, and travel opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir.
Train Schedule and Services
The Vande Bharat Express is set to operate six days a week, offering a fast and efficient connection between Katra and Srinagar. The anticipated schedule is as follows:
- Katra to Srinagar: 8:10 AM → 11:20 AM
- Srinagar to Katra: 8:55 AM → 12:05 PM
Additionally, two mail trains will run daily to improve connectivity between Katra and Srinagar:
- First Mail Train
- Katra to Srinagar: 9:50 AM → 1:10 PM
- Srinagar to Katra: 8:45 AM → 12:05 PM
- Second Mail Train
- Katra to Srinagar: 3:00 PM → 6:20 PM
- Srinagar to Katra: 3:10 PM → 6:30 PM

The Vande Bharat Express is designed with state-of-the-art technology to operate reliably even in extreme cold conditions. Expected fare details are:
- Standard ticket: ₹1,500 – ₹2,500
–Executive seat class: ₹2,200 – ₹2,500
The train will halt at major stations, connecting essential cities and pilgrimage sites. The route includes:
- Delhi → Ambala Cantonment → Ludhiana Junction → Pathankot Cantonment → Jammu Tawi → Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (Katra) → Reasi → Banihal → Kanjigund → Anantnag → Srinagar
