    Sunday, March 23, 2025

In a move set to transform the tourism and hospitality landscape in India, global hospitality technology leader STAAH has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Clarks Hotels & Resorts. The MoU was formalized in New Delhi at ITC Maurya, with New Zealand’s Prime Minister Christopher Luxon in attendance, underscoring the growing influence of New Zealand in the technology and service industries worldwide.

The signing ceremony, held amidst a high-profile delegation of over 80 business leaders and officials from New Zealand, marks a significant step in strengthening bilateral ties between India and New Zealand. Prime Minister Luxon’s visit to India is part of a broader effort to deepen economic collaborations and foster business partnerships, particularly in the realms of technology and hospitality.

“While cricket has long been a strong cultural bond between India and New Zealand, there are immense opportunities for collaboration in technology and hospitality. This MoU marks an exciting new chapter in our bilateral relations, offering immense potential for economic growth and innovation,” said Prime Minister Luxon, emphasizing the strategic importance of this partnership.

The Clarks Hotels & Resorts, a prominent player in India’s hospitality industry since its inception in 2005, has rapidly expanded its footprint. With a portfolio of over 135 hotels across more than 120 destinations in India, as well as a presence in three other countries, The Clarks Hotels & Resorts is committed to offering a range of luxurious experiences while preserving India’s rich cultural heritage.

This collaboration will see The Clarks Hotels & Resorts integrate STAAH’s state-of-the-art cloud-based distribution technology to enhance operational efficiencies and guest experience. STAAH is renowned for its cutting-edge solutions that enable hotels to manage revenue, bookings, and distribution seamlessly across multiple platforms.

“We are thrilled to formalize this partnership, which reflects the accelerating digital transformation within India’s hospitality and tourism industries. This collaboration opens up new avenues for growth for New Zealand-based companies, especially in one of the world’s fastest-growing hospitality markets,” said Tarun Joukani, Director at STAAH. He further highlighted the importance of adopting technology solutions like cloud-based distribution and revenue management systems for luxury and heritage properties in India.

Aryavir Kumar, Managing Director at The Clarks Hotels & Resorts, also expressed excitement about the collaboration. “

At The Clarks Hotels & Resorts, we are committed to providing world-class hospitality while maintaining India’s rich cultural heritage. Partnering with STAAH enables us to integrate advanced technology that will elevate our guest engagement and operational efficiency, positioning us strongly within the competitive landscape.”

This MoU is expected to drive significant technological advancements in India’s tourism and hospitality sector, fostering innovation and operational growth.
