Mumbai: Maharashtra reported seven COVID-19 cases on Friday, taking the state’s tally since January 1 this year to 2,620, a health department official said.
No death has been reported since last Saturday, leaving the state’s toll since the start of the year at 41, including 40 with comorbidities.
Of the new cases, four are from Mumbai, two from Pune and one from Nagpur, the state health department said.
A total of 2,532 persons have recovered from the ailment since January 1, while the number of tests carried out stands at 35,516.
Mumbai’s COVID-19 tally is 1,039, of which 551 were detected in June and 47 in July so far, the health department said.>
