The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is anticipating a surge in travelers at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT) during the upcoming spring break season.
Currently, TSA checkpoints at MHT are processing an average of 1,900 passengers daily. However, from April 10 to April 21, passenger traffic is expected to rise, with the busiest days seeing up to 2,800 travelers.
To accommodate this influx, MHT officials advise arriving at least two hours before domestic flights. Allowing time for traffic, parking, rental car returns, airline check-in, and security screening is essential.
TSA aims to move passengers through standard security screening in under 30 minutes, while TSA PreCheck® lanes are designed to get travelers through in under 10 minutes. Across the country, 99% of TSA PreCheck passengers waited less than five minutes for screening. A key benefit of TSA PreCheck is that children 12 and under can join an enrolled parent or guardian in the TSA PreCheck lanes without restrictions. However, children aged 13-17 must have the TSA PreCheck logo on their boarding pass to use these expedited lanes.
